Snes Central: Legend Of Zelda, The: A Link to the Past

We know that nowadays more and more gamers only play online, so there. It’s mostly a point and click adventure game… that hates you. Pokémon Ash Gray is another Pokémon FireRed hack that you won’t want to miss out on. You play as Ash Ketchum, including through the events of the first episode of the beloved Pokémon series. So yes, you get to play with Pikachu, just like Ash himself. This game is truly a fantastic ROM hack and could easily feel like a spin-off game created by the developers themselves.

Pokemon – Fire Red Version

As such, I never played it until just now for this review. It’s going to be tough, since I already have quite a negative first impression of this game, but I will try to be impartial and unbiased as I play and review this game. The Mario series for example is still going strong after all these years. Many franchises however aren’t so lucky, as is the case for Toejam & Earl. Released in 1991 for the Sega Genesis, Toejam & Earl is a surrealist roguelike game following two alien rappers trying to rebuild their space ship after a crash landing on earth. Each level has you controlling one of the aliens as they wander around trying to find a piece to their ship and the elevator to the next level, all while avoiding the hostile inhabitants of earth.

Elsewhere in the Lost Woods, you might find a mushroom 🍄. The Minish Cap looks a little different and plays a little different from the other 2D Zelda games out there, and most of those changes are for the better. This is an accessible, fast, yet ultimately too-brief adventure, which is its only real problem. Advance Warsand its sequel, Black Hole Rising, arguably hold up better than any other GBA games, and they’re both readily available on the Wii U right now. It’s a shame that Nintendo hasn’t released a new entry in the series since 2008’s Days of Ruin for the DS.

Peripherals and Accessories

Pokemon Prism features over 250 Pokemon from Generation I until IV. That’s right; they manage to make sprites for those Pokemon in this ROM hack of Crystal. Don’t forget about several mini-games that you can play and several original music tracks. If you also like a bit of a darker story, then this hack is for you.

Hacking Pokemon GBA Games

Don’t worry; you will be able to choose your own later in the game. If you’re anything like most fans who played Pokémon Dark Rising, you’re probably still traumatized. Fortunately, Pokémon Liquid Crystal ish here to soothe your wounds.

Considering other trainers such as Cynthia and Steven have never been number one, it’s safe to assume that none of them have ever beaten Leon yet. Pokémon Diamond and Pearl together have all the Pokémon from the Sinnoh Pokédex (which has 150 Pokémon in these games), aside from the event-exclusive Manaphy. That said, there are still a few obscure Pokemon titles for the Game Boy Advance that every die-hard fan of the series should play. I’m a big fan of the fact that you can climb walls and walk around underwater in this game. It’s almost like a very small, incredibly scaled down BOTW with Pokemon instead of Moblins. There are so many different Pokémon to beat from all previous regions in the Pokémon Series and the Elite Four Rivals, as well as badass fitness leaders looking to hold their positions.
